LinkedIn violated data protection of 18M users

The social network LinkedIn, a platform that has 600 million users, is involved in a scandal. It was accused of violating the data protection of 18 million people.

The report was made by a European regulatory agency, which denounces that the social network has incurred an ethical fault due to this bad practice. This complaint was published by the Data Protection Commissioner (DPC) of Ireland and explains how Linkedin performs uncanny activities during the first six months of the year, including advertising on Facebook, WhatsApp, and Yahoo.

It should be noted that DPC decided to conduct the further audit after it became “concerned with the wider systemic issues identified”.
